Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Accepting that the source of all knowledge is from God, and observing various ongoing “health” events and crises among the nations of the earth, it seems there is only a small effort to self-educate and obtain the necessary knowledge needed on the subject of one’s health and preserving it. I have always believed that God created herbs and plants, resulting in the Herbal Remedy, for the general purpose of promoting health and healing and a sense of well-being.

However, if one “lacks knowledge” of these things, they need not look far as there have been a myriad of studies, testing and information on the internet about the positive effects and benefits herbal formulas, herbal salves, essential oil blends, handmade herbal soaps and natural soaps may have on health. For whatever reason, this lack of knowledge has adversely affected the health of many in general. Some of the ideas that have been taught in society make it very easy to place our health in the hands of others, because of the trusted positions they hold in the healthcare community, instead of taking the responsibility ourselves. Yet too many are either comfortable with or over confident about their health, when in fact there is much, statistically and otherwise, that indicates they know very little indeed, and in some cases there are even those who would rather not know at all. Further, the presence of some misleading information has caused many to error and in consequence they are ever striking at the branches (or symptoms) of various ailments rather than the root (or cause) and simply missing out on the joys of life.

Following a number of health controversies over the past few years, experts are now recommending alternative deodorant products to use as part of a natural daily skin care routine.

Over the past ten years there have been numerous health scares that have occurred regarding the toxic and damaging ingredients used in deodorants. Many of these include the effects of parabens and aluminum compounds which are known to be very common ingredients in the majority of mainstream deodorants and antiperspirants. The worrying studies of the effects of these harmful substances and metals have begun to raise questions about the long term use of such products.

Unlike deodorants, antiperspirants do not mask the body odor using a fragrance but rather inhibits the perspiration from occurring in the sweat glands. The thing with antiperspirants is that they contain aluminum-based compounds which react with the sweat to produce a substance that plugs up the sweat ducts in order to prevent sweating. This prevents the sweat gland from functioning properly in excreting toxins and perspiring to cool the body’s temperature.
